Winter BReak by Alex S, Rachel, Ali, Ceri & Loren
Winter Break
Winter break came in an instant But no snow outside, now feeling indignant The sunglasses and bathing suits are now obsolete Warm, fuzzy socks, covering my feet I’m on the verge of going insane I have a bad case, of snow on the brain I wish I could feel this moment But instead I feel poignant It’s snowing outside, I’m feeling so gracious I’ll call over some friends, I’m feeling loquacious Do you want to build a snowman? Do you wanna build a snowman? This is so much better than playing in the sand I'll use my brawn to make the base Ready set go, this ain't a challenge it's a race Finish before the snow all melts C'mon pick up the pace! It's so cold, feels like my clothes are tattered The snowman head falls on my foot Now my foot feels all battered I wince a little but I keep going I just hope it's good enough for showing Winter suddenly feels filled with malice This is not turning out like a snow palace The snowman is all messed up All that's left is a snowman lump I feel so bad for using subterfuge Even though the lie wasn't huge I still feel bad I just wanted to build a snowman I know what I need, a scaffolding should work I'll just get one from the store But it just keeps snowing more and more And before I know it,my feet are sore I run back, in a tussle with the snow When I come back I already know Snowman making isn't the thing for me I'll just go home, and have a nice cup of tea I turn on the tv, and watch the Christmas special I watch horses, being majestic in their snaffles Then it was time for the Christmas raffle. I won! Hooray! I feel so baffled The ice sticks to the ground stronger than an alloy. Now the ice is melting! I feel so much joy! The sun radiates, and melts everything Winter is gone, and now it is spring |
