A Day in the life of it by anna, jessica, fiona p & melissa
Diligence. It means working hard, constantly.
I’m diligent, when I study for my test. Time to sleep. I wake up in the morning. I look at the clock. Ten minutes to go, tick tock, tick tock. I doggedly run to catch the bus. School. A juvenile detention for miscreants. They like to torture us. Homework-so much-releases their masochistic souls. Homeroom-first period. Everyone is so ornery. And we all know, no one wants to be here. SCIENCE. WE LEARN ABOUT PROPOLIS. I DON’T KNOW, I GUESS IT’S SOMETHING TO DO WITH CELLS. BREAK. I SEE MY FRIENDS. WE HAVE A REALLY STRONG AMITY, YOU KNOW? ENGLISH. THE TEACHER IS REALLY PRETTY. SHE’S ERUDITE. THAT’S REALLY, REALLY SMART. LUNCH. I GET ON LINE. APPLE PIE. I START TO EAT. MY FRIEND Comes. HE eats THE REMNANTS OF MY PIE. TEST TIME. MATH. ADJOINING ANGLEs? THE CLOCK STARES DOWN AT ME. OH, I REMEMBER NOW. Connections. I’m incredulous that time went by so fast. I did okay. I think. I hope. Social Studies. We learn about Divergent cultures in different countries. Gym. Basketball. I trip over the waxy floor. The thick layer of enamel coats the floor. The bell rings. School is over. Hallelujah. I walk out of this reformatory. It’s a prison, and I’m Never going back. Never, never going back. |
