There's no such a thing as perfect characters in stories. All characters are flawed, but some hide in shame behind a mask of perfection.
We think these quotes definitely fit out character theory:
Thirteen and a Half
“"I think her house might actually be a mansion...'I can't figure out if she is severely weird or, like, the opposite...'" p. 76 and 83. You would assume that Ashley is perfect. But in the end, she is not as perfect as she seems to be.
Squid Girl
"Of course you've heard the warnings about skin cancer, and you promise yourself this is the last tan you'll get, at least until summer." p. 215. This shows that Sierra is desperate to get a tan to impress Bob and make him notice her, so she is imperfect.
In Your Hat
"I'd been trying to get Ariel Greenbanks for almost two years now, and the results had been grim to none." p.11. This quote shows that he is flawed because he's been trying to get a girl for a while and hasn't succeeded.
"Hey, good lookin'," ... "Come here often?" p.11. This shows that Dennis is desperate, thereby making him imperfect.
“‘F!!’ Mr. Fazetti had scrawled across the top. Just like that- with two exclamation points. Underneath, he’d written, ‘F as in FAKE!! Do you think I’m an idiot??’” p.19. This quote shows that Dennis doesn’t get perfect grades and gets everything right, which makes him flawed.
